The Freedom of Being Unknown
Anonymity preserves the radical freedom to contradict yourself. Named thoughts serve reputation; anonymous thoughts serve truth. Every public identity becomes a contract with limitation—what others recognise about you becomes what they require from you. The price of being known is the gradual forgetting of all the selves you never got to try.
